Starting from March 16, 2020 the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York is temporarily closed for visa applicant due to worsening sanitary-epidemic situation with the coronovirus COVID-19.

Important information for those US nationals who have applied for three-year multiple entry visas (tourist, business, private or humanitarian) before March 16, 2020 and did not get their visas because of the Russian border shut down due to pandemic.

The objectives of the Visa Center are to speed up and facilitate the visa procedure, to create the most comfortable conditions for applicants, to clarify the rules of entry and stay in the Russian Federation, to check the completeness of documents required for obtaining a visa as well as to represent the interests of applicants at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York when submitting (collecting) documents on their behalf.

The final decision to issue or refuse a Russian visa, as well as the issuance of visa itself to foreign nationals outside the Russian Federation, lies with the respective Russian Consular institutions.

Individual applicants have the right to apply directly to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York to obtain a visa by making an online prior appointment at the website of the Consulate

In order to exclude cases of fraud with the pre-registration system, we accept documents only from those applicants whose personal data was entered into the system during the registration of the application. In case of a discrepancy of the information indicated in the system with the data of the applicant whose documents are submitted to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York, those documents will not be considered. One time slot in the system provides the possibility of submitting only one set of documents to the Consulate.
