Starting from June 1, 2021, the Russian Diplomatic Missions in the US resume visa issuance of visas of all categories.

Please be advised that the visas may be issued only for U.S. citizens and citizens of other countries, who possess U.S. Green Cards.

Citizens of third countries, who temporarily visit the U.S.A., have to apply for Russian visas at Russian consular missions in the countries of their citizenship.

All applicants should submit their paperwork at the Visa Center in New York in person by appointment, the applicants may apply for an emergency private visa directly to the Consulate by prior appointment. You can make an appointment via email.

The objectives of the Visa Center are to speed up and facilitate the visa procedure, to create the most comfortable conditions for applicants, to clarify the rules of entry and stay in the Russian Federation, to check the completeness of documents required for obtaining a visa as well as to represent the interests of applicants at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York when submitting (collecting) documents on their behalf.

The final decision to issue or refuse a Russian visa, as well as the issuance of visa itself to foreign nationals outside the Russian Federation, lies with the respective Russian Consular institutions.

In order to exclude cases of fraud with the pre-registration system, we accept documents only from those applicants whose personal data was entered into the system during the registration of the application. In case of a discrepancy of the information indicated in the system with the data of the applicant whose documents are submitted to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York, those documents will not be considered. One time slot in the system provides the possibility of submitting only one set of documents to the Consulate.
